Georgian Revival, Rescued

This Georgian Revival manse recently fell upon hard times, winding up vacant for a few years and only weeks away from demolition. A couple saw this was a house worth saving, bought it, and asked us to rehabilitate it. We were tasked with updating the services – heating, electrical and plumbing, restoring an exterior that was besieged by rot and leaks, and redesigning much of the first floor. Our design for the first floor included a new kitchen, family room, breakfast room, pantry and powder room as well as improvements to the stair hall, parlor and dining room. We also designed a new below-grade garage and large deck above. The house stands again as a proud estate in Westwood.
